Our Commitment

ROMPT, LLC dba ROLIK® strives to ensure that its services are accessible to people with disabilities. We have invested significant resources to make our website easier to use and more accessible, and we continue to do so as an ongoing priority — not a one-time project. We believe this is both our moral obligation and a legal responsibility under federal and California state law.

Our target accessibility standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines are developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and are the benchmark used by courts and regulators in California to evaluate digital accessibility.

Governing Frameworks: Our accessibility practices are informed by: the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III; the California Unruh Civil Rights Act (California Civil Code §51); the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), which requires that privacy notices be reasonably accessible; and WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the applicable technical standard.

What We Are Doing

Accessibility at ROLIK® is an active, ongoing program. Current and planned efforts include:

Targeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance as our baseline accessibility standard across all pages and features of shoprolik.com

Conducting periodic accessibility audits of our website to identify and prioritize barriers

Remediating identified issues in order of user impact, with priority given to core shopping flows including browsing, product pages, cart, and checkout

Ensuring all new content, features, and updates are reviewed for accessibility before publication

Providing alternative text for product images and meaningful page structure for screen reader navigation

Working with our technology partners, including Shopify, to address accessibility limitations in third-party components

Monitoring California AB 1757 (Accessibility for All Californians Act) and other pending legislation as part of our ongoing compliance program

On overlays and automated widgets: Automated accessibility overlay widgets are not a substitute for genuine WCAG conformance. We do not rely solely on any automated overlay as our accessibility solution. Our program combines technical remediation, content practices, and human review.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of www.shoprolik.com are not yet fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are transparent about these known limitations and are actively working to address them. The table below reflects our current understanding as of the date of this statement:

Some third-party components may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA; these are outside our direct control

Ongoing — we raise issues with vendors and seek conformant alternatives

Older PDFs may lack full accessibility tagging, alt text, or reading order

Some product videos may lack captions or audio descriptions

New videos are captioned; older content is being updated

Third-party payment components (e.g., Shopify Payments) are subject to Shopify’s own accessibility roadmap

If you encounter an accessibility barrier not listed above, please let us know at hi@shoprolik.com — user reports are one of our most valuable sources for identifying issues we have missed.

The page or URL where you encountered the barrier

A description of the issue and what you were trying to do

The assistive technology or browser you were using (if applicable)

All accessibility issue reports are logged, reviewed by our web team, and added to our remediation queue. We prioritize issues based on user impact and frequency of the affected flow.

We will acknowledge receipt of your report within 2 business days and provide a status update within 10 business days. If a permanent fix is not immediately possible, we will offer a temporary alternative solution.

Third-Party Content & Technology

Our website uses technology and content from third-party providers, including Shopify (our ecommerce platform), Seel (optional order protection), and other service providers. Some of this third-party content may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. While we cannot directly control third-party code, we:

Raise accessibility issues with our vendors and advocate for accessible solutions

Seek conformant alternatives where non-conformant third-party components exist

Monitor Shopify’s accessibility roadmap and apply updates as they become available

For accessibility issues specifically related to Shopify’s platform, you may also contact Shopify directly at shopify.com/accessibility.

Legal Framework

ROLIK®’s accessibility program is designed to meet obligations under the following laws and standards:

Law / Standard

What It Requires

ADA Title III (Federal)

Prohibits discrimination based on disability in places of public accommodation; interpreted by courts to apply to ecommerce websites

California Unruh Civil Rights Act (Cal. Civil Code §51)

Requires full and equal access for all persons in business establishments; ADA violations are automatic Unruh violations; $4,000 minimum statutory damages per violation plus attorney’s fees

CCPA / CPRA (California)

Requires that privacy notices and opt-out mechanisms be reasonably accessible to persons with disabilities and conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA

WCAG 2.1 Level AA

The internationally recognized technical standard for web accessibility, adopted by California courts as the benchmark for evaluating digital accessibility compliance

California AB 1757 (Pending)

If enacted, would explicitly require websites providing goods or services to comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA; ROLIK® is monitoring this legislation
